Vinegar with the aroma of the Mediterranean

Dark in colour, with a rich aromatic flavour and increased density, aceto balsamico gives every dish a special taste. It is used especially often in Mediterranean cuisine, as a seasoning for various salads, especially those made from radicchio, beans, green beans, arugula or tomatoes, but also as an addition to grilled fish and seafood, in order to elevate their flavour. It goes well with game, pork and lamb dishes. Zvijezda aceto balsamico is made from boiled white grape must, which is turned into vinegar through the natural fermentation process.

Specific manufacture method

Aceto balsamico is made using specific traditional methods. Ageing concentrates the vinegar, and aceto balsamico gets its final colour and aroma by pouring it into barrels made of different types of wood. Every year, the vinegar is mixed with young vinegar and moved into increasingly smaller barrels.
